The sun is about to shine, and the temperatures are inviting you back to the patio. Barbecue meals are back! Follow our tips and tricks to get your BBQ back up and running in ideal conditions.
Spring is the perfect time to get your barbecue back out and enjoy delicious outdoor grilling. However, before you fire it up, it's essential to make sure your BBQ is ready to be used safely. Dusting, cleaning, maintenance, preheating... Here are some tips to get your barbecue back up and running and ensure delicious meals throughout the summer season.
1/ Clean your barbecue thoroughly
Before lighting your barbecue, start by giving it a thorough cleaning. Remove any food residue and grease that has accumulated inside the bowl and on the grills. Use a wire brush and a suitable degreaser to remove stubborn dirt. Regularly cleaning and maintaining your grill and tools means cooking and serving sweet and savory dishes in the best possible hygienic conditions, both for the taste buds and the health of your guests.
My Barbecue's useful tip:
To clean the grill, you can use old wives' tales such as onion, lemon, newspaper, black soap or even a pressure washer.
2/ Check the accessories
Make sure all your barbecue accessories are in good working order. We offer, among other things, an electric rotisserie , a built-in grill , a serving cutlery case , etc.
Check the condition of the grills, grease drip tray, tools, etc. Replace damaged parts if necessary to ensure safe and optimal use of your barbecue.

3/ Check the condition of the fuel
Before lighting your barbecue, check the fuel level remaining in the charcoal bag. Make sure you have enough for your next barbecue and get more if necessary. Also, be sure to store your charcoal in a safe place, away from heat and humidity, such as at the back of your garage, in a closed shed, in your workshop, and always on a shelf.
4/ First spring cooking: preheat correctly
To ensure even cooking and prevent food from sticking to the grill, it's essential to preheat your barbecue properly, especially for that first springtime cookout. Light it in advance and let it heat up for a few minutes before adding your food. This step will help you reach the ideal temperature for perfectly cooked grilled food.
